Mamata Banerjee is seeking a third term as chief minister of West Bengal, while the opposition BJP has pledged to gain more than 200 seats. The battle for the Nandigram assembly constituency would be the most important since Mamata Banerjee’s former aide Suvendu Adhikari is standing against her for the first time.
