OTET Exam Notification 2023: The board has changed the OTET exam Date 2023, and as per the latest notification, the offline OTET exam will now take held on July 1st, 2023. View exam schedules and other information here.

OTET Exam Date 2023: On the official website, http://www.bseodisha.ac.in, the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha will publish the OTET Exam Date 2022 for the Odisha Teachers Eligibility Test 2023. The OTET 2023 Exam will now be existence on July 1, 2023, as the OTET Exam has been postponed. Candidates who have applied for the OTET Exam 2023 will take the (Odisha Secondary School Teacher Qualification Exam)OSSTET exam offline through the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha. In order to be considered eligible to teach in secondary schools, applicants must pass the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test(OTET) Exam with a minimum mark.

The board has made the whole schedule for the OTET Exam 2023 notification public on its website. The minimum qualifying marks are 45% for the general category and 35% for SC, ST, PH, and SEBC. Check for important details regarding the OTET Exam Notification 2023.

OTET Exam Eligibility Criteria 2023:

Who can apply OTET exam?

Confirm that you meets your eligibility requirements before to submitting an application for the OTET Exam. The OTET Eligibility requirements have been fully explained here. Candidates have to meet the eligibility conditions and possess the necessary educational qualifications in order to apply for the OTET Exam 2023. Read the CTET eligibility criteria here.

OTET Paper-I Eligibility: (Classes I-V)

  • A two-year Elementary Education diploma (CT or D.El.Ed.) with at least a C- average is required for Higher Secondary (or its equivalent).
  • The NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2002 state that applicants must have completed their Higher Secondary education (or an equivalent degree) with at least a 45 percent mark average and a two-year Elementary Education diploma.
  • A 4 years Bachel of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) with at least a 50% marks average in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent).
  • Minimum 50% marks in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) and a 2 years Education in diploma.

OTET Paper-2 Eligibility: (Classes VI-VIII)

  • Graduation and 2-year elementary education degree (under any name recognised).
  • Minimum 50% marks on the final exam and a one year bachelor’s degree in education (B.Ed.)
  • Completing a 1 year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) course that complies with the NCTE Regulations, which are periodically issued in this field, and graduating with a grade point average of at least 45%.
  • A bachelor’s degree in elementary education (B.El.Ed.) after completing higher secondary school (or its equivalent) with at least a 50% average.
  • At least 50% in the Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) class and a 4-year B.A./B.Sc., Ed., or B.A. Ed/B.Sc. Ed.
  • A bachelor’s degree with at least a 50% average and a one-year education in B.Ed.

OTET Exam Pattern 2023:

Two exams, Paper I and Paper II, give to the OTET exam. Each paper takes 2.5 hours and total 150 marks. Both papers will be examined by using pen and paper. The OTET exam pattern is described here, with details on the number of questions and marking system.

  • Offline (Objective type question) OTET exam mode
  • Paper-I and Paper-II are the two papers that will be given.
  • There are 150 total marks for Paper I.
  • There are 90 total marks for Paper II.
  • The topics English and Odia in Paper I are both compulsory.
  • Every exam lasts 2 hours and 30 minutes.
  • The multiple-choice questions (MCQ) of the OTET Exam will each be given one mark.
  • There won’t be any negative mark for giving an incorrect answer.

OTET Admit Card 2023:

Candidates who have finished registrations, filled out the application form, and paid the fees are getting admit cards from the BSE. There will be all necessary information on this admit card. These facts include the exam candidates name, roll number, exam dates, exam location, and the exam times.

  1. Go to bseodisha.nic.in, the OTET’s official website.
  2. You’ll see a “Examination Tab” there. then click on the examination link.
  3. The third step is to click on the link to the admit card and download it.
  4. You have to enter your registration number, your father’s name, and your password.
  5. Print your OTET 2023 admit card for future use after viewing and downloading it.
