Armaan Kohli Arrested: Actor Armaan Kohli’s one-day detention by the NCB comes to an end today. Today, he will be brought before the court. The NCB has said at the probe agency’s office in South Mumbai that actor Armaan Kohli had been arrested after hours of interrogation in connection with the seizure of cocaine from his home.
Armaan Kohli’s home was raided by the NCB team on Saturday evening, and he was taken to the agency’s office for questioning. He claimed that after a few hours of questioning, Kohli was detained and a case was filed against him under the NDPS Act.
Armaan Kohli arrest was announced to the media around 10 a.m. on Sunday. Kohli has been in the custody of the NCB since then, he said. Kohli has been in a number of films, including Salman Khan’s ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo,’ and has also taken part in the Bigg Boss reality show.
The action against Kohli comes after the arrest of TV actor Gaurav Dixit by NCB on Friday.
After some “investigations” made during the custodial interrogation of Ajay Raju Singh, the main narcotics seller, on Saturday, the NCB decided to question Kohli. The NDPS Act has also led to Singh’s detention. On Saturday, Singh was apprehended near Haji Ali, and 25 grammes of a narcotic known as MD was seized on him.
In 2018, the Anti-Drug Cell of the Mumbai Police filed a case against Singh after a substantial quantity of ephedrine was discovered on him. We began the operation on Saturday afternoon after questioning Singh.
The NCB team entered Armaan Kohli’s home and discovered a little amount of cocaine as a result of this. After that, a case was filed against him, and his arrest was made public. According to preliminary investigations, the cocaine found inside Kohli’s home is produced in South America.
The NCB is trying to discover the route and connections by which the confiscated cocaine arrived in Mumbai. Other smugglers’ involvement is also being investigated.
Today is the last day in NCB custody for TV star Gaurav Dixit, who was arrested in a drug case. Today he will appear in court. On Friday, he was arrested by the NCB, and on Saturday, the court ordered Dixit to remain in NCB custody till further notice.
