Mumbai police have appointed four officers to investigate bribery allegations against NCB zonal director Sameer Wankhede. Additional Police Commissioner Dilip Sawant will oversee the investigation.
Prabhakar Cell, Sudha Dwivedi, Kanishka Jain and Nitin Deshmukh have been charged with bribery against Sameer Wankhede. The Joint Police Commissioner issued an order in this regard on Wednesday. A senior official told the National News Agency that the police had “clubbed” all four appeals against Sameer Wankhede.
The police station on Mata Ramabai Ambedkar Marg has been notified of the petition. Separate bribery cases have been filed against IAS officer Sameer Wankhede by Prabhakar Sail, Sudha Dwivedi, Kanishka Jain, and Nitin Deshmukh.
