Bomras Tomato Salad

You’ve probably had tomato salad before, but ‘Bomras Tomato Salad‘ is a Goa dish that’s both yummy and good for you. This tomato recipe will only take you 15 minutes to prepare.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tsp Garlic finely chopped
  • 1 tsp Green chili,
  • finely chopped 1 tbsp Roasted and crushed peanuts,
  • 1 tablespoon coriander leaves,
  • finely chopped
  • 1 tsp roasted white sesame seeds,
  • 1 tbsp tamarind paste,
  • 1 tablespoon jaggery paste,
  • salt to taste,

How To Prepared Bomras Tomato Salad

First wash the tomatoes and chop them finely. Now finely chop the onion, garlic, cucumber, chilli and coriander leaves. Shrimp or chicken is also added to this dish of Goa as a non-veg. But if you are a vegetarian, you can add paneer or soya chunks.

Now put some oil in a pan and fry the garlic. Then put chopped tomato, onion, garlic, chilli, cumin and coriander leaves in a bowl. Now add tamarind paste, jaggery paste and salt to this mixture and mix it well. Your bomras tomato salad is ready, then garnish this salad with fried and crushed peanuts and serve.

Tomato Pickle

Making tomato pickle at home is also quite simple. It’s also delicious to eat. This pickle may also be made in 20 to 30 minutes.

Ingredients:

  • 250 g Tomato
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Fenugreek Powder
  • 1 tsp ground mustard paste
  • 8-10 curry leaves
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seed donation
  • 1 tsp Ginger finely chopped
  • a pinch of asafoetida
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • salt as per taste
  • 2 tbsp oil

How To Prepared Tomato Pickle?

To begin, heat the oil in a medium and add the mustard seeds. Fry the finely chopped ginger as well. Fry the asafoetida and curry leaves together in the pan. Then put this mixture in a box and keep it there. Re-add the oil to the pan and re-ignite the flame. Put the tomatoes in the pan after finely chopping them. Then flavor it with salt.

Now cover and cook the tomatoes for 5 minutes. When the tomatoes become soft, add red chili powder, turmeric, ground mustard paste and fenugreek powder. Now mix the tempering in it, which you prepared earlier. Your tomato pickle is ready. Let it cool and store in a glass jar.

Tomato Curry

Ingredients:

  • 6/7 tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon gram flour
  • 3-4 curry leaves
  • 250 grams moong dal
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 inch cinnamon stick
  • 1 tsp Garlic finely chopped
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

How to Make Tomato Curry ?

To begin, make sure to clean the tomato and moong dal with water. The tomatoes should then be finely chopped. Now, turn on the gas stove and keep the flame low. Then, in the cooker, add moong dal and chopped tomatoes. Cook for around 3 whistles now. When you open the cooker, the mashing tomatoes and lentils will have turned into a paste.

After this, put oil in a pan and put it on the gas. Then add cumin, curry leaves and cinnamon to it. Fry it for 1 minute then add garlic. After roasting the garlic, add gram flour to the pan. Now fry it till it becomes light brown. Now add some water to it and then add tomato and moong dal paste. Cook this mixture for 5 minutes and turn it off when it comes to a boil. Your tomato curry is ready, you can serve it with rice.
